Solar Farm, WarwickshireHuckle Ecology was commissioned to undertake an Extended Phase 1 Habitat Survey of a large site to inform a planning application for a solar farm.
In addition to mapping the habitats and potential for protected species, recommendations for ecological enhancements were provided, as well as habitat management to provide benefits for biodiversity. |
Residential Development, EssexA Preliminary Ecology Appraisal of a small site was undertaken to accompany a planning application for a single new build property.
The Site was part of a field adjacent to a road and other housing. By incorporating mitigation and recommending enhancements for the site, it is likely that overall, there will be a net benefit for biodiversity. |
Kirkby Moor Wind FarmJon Huckle has been involved with a proposed repowering of the current Kirkby Moor Wind Farm for nearly four years, including designing and undertaking ecology surveys and developing a Habitat Management Plan for the site, which is located within a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The project has involved complex assessment of ecological impacts as part of a multidisciplinary project team, and extensive consultations with the statutory body, Natural England, to agree an acceptable mitigation strategy. |
Housing development, NorfolkJon was asked to prepare an Ecological report, for a small site in Norfolk - this was for a single dwelling in a village in South Norfolk.
