What type of ecology survey do you need?
Do I really need an ecology survey? This is probably the most common question we get asked, shortly followed by "can you help?" and "how much will it cost?"
We undertake ecological surveys appropriate to the needs of your project. Whether you need a general survey to understand ecological risks associated with a site, or a detailed survey to meet specific project requirements, Huckle Ecology can provide you with the right solution for your project.
Ecological surveys can cover all aspects of biodiversity and nature conservation. Our experienced and skilled ecological consultants can provide detailed expertise as well as more general wildlife surveys in relation to planning development, biodiversity audits or to for scientific or technical objectives.
For developments that require planning applications, ecological surveys are usually required at the pre-application stage to inform the decision-maker about the ecological issues about a site and to ensure that the proposal does not conflict with relevant local or national planning policies. Often ecological surveys are referred to as Phase 1 or Phase 2 surveys.
